Leveraging your Board

The Business Advisory Committee (BAN) has a three tier program to assist members with your Board:

Do you need a board?
The question of a private company’s board has more to do with the company’s strategic position than its age or size. The BAN committee has member owner volunteers who are available to discuss with you the appropriateness of forming or continuing a board for your company. To access this service, please contact the Director.

Who should be on your board?
The association has a deep roladex. While you have many business associates, the association has a list of members with expertise in specific areas of business. If you should decide to form a board or add additional members to your board, contact the BAN committee through the Director.

How effective is your board leadership?
Regardless of background and experience, even exceptional business leaders often lack the training to manage their board in a manner that leverages the assets of the members. The BAN committee has owner volunteers who are able to work with you to assist you in developing the strategies that will enable you to maximize the contribution your board members can make to your company. If you would like to discuss this process, contact the BAN committee through the Director.
