John Carroll has developed a "leap frog" minor in entrepreneurship by working with the top entrepreneurship educators in the country to develop a forward leaning curriculum.

The Student Hatchery in the Muldoon Center is one of a handful such facilities in the United States.

To enter the Hatchery, students must apply to and be interviewed by the association's Student Entrepreneur Liaison Committee. Students who are admitted will be given: 

• A mentor from the EA to work with the student on their idea. Assignment of mentors are made from among EA volunteers for their experience in the area the student plan addresses. 

• Students will be given a key fob that admits them to the Hatchery 24/7 where they can meet with their mentor or teammates to work on their idea.

• Access to a VOIP telephone line for their business that will text a message to their cell phone if they are not present.
