The current President of the Heights-Hillcrest Chamber is EA Master member Mike Struk. Gardiner Trane has been named the best mid-sized company to work for in Northeast Ohio by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
WorkplaceDynamics surveyed over 90 percent of the company's 156 employees -- engineers, technicians and sales staffers. They were pretty enthusiastic. "I enjoy coming to work. I work with a great group of people. I love working for Gardiner Trane. I enjoy doing what I do," one employee responded to the question, "Why I love my job." Another wrote: "I feel a sense of accomplishment each day. My work is important to the company. Co-workers are professional & pleasant to work with." Gardiner Trane had its best year ever in 2009, said EA Master member and founder Bill Gardiner, who bought the franchise in 1962 and staffed it with a handful of employees. With $50 million in sales and services last year, the company expanded its payroll and continues to grow this year. Bill has hired several EA interns and is a contributor to the Entrepreneurs’ House fund. To congratulate Bill, click here.
