EA Membership Introduced to new Dean of the Boler School 6/22/2007

June 21^st will be remembered as a perfect evening for the reception to honor Dean Karen Schuele as she takes the helm at the Boler School of Business.  About 100 members and guests gathered on the new veranda at the Mayfield Country Club to celebrate Karen’s appointment as the association’s leadership introduced her to our members.

John Lane, the association’s new Chair and an owner of the Winking Lizard Tavern welcomed the members and thanked Chuck Ciuni for his two years of service as the Chair.  John introduced his officers and committee chairs, then invited Karen to outline her plans for the Boler school.

Karen talked about the changes in curriculum that will help our students to excel in the job markets of the future and make their education at the Boler School even more relevant in a rapidly changing world. 

Dr. Schuele explains her priorities

 In a global economy, the critical thinking, ethical individual will have even more currency than a simply well trained business person.

 

Karen also talked about the task of insuring the reaccredidation of the Business School , as one of her top priorities.  The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation is the “gold standard” of recognition, with fewer than 200 business schools worldwide receiving this stamp of approval.

It was such a beautiful evening, and another great opportunity to build those relationships that are so important to growing a successful business.
